Australian Bushfires

As many of you may have heard, the southern part of Victoria, in Australia, has been hit by the country's deadliest ever bushfires.  We got a very welcome email from Jared yesterday, and he is fine. The northern most part of his area includes Kinglake, an area hit hard by the fires. Whole towns have been wiped out and over 170 people have been killed, with the death toll still rising. The fires spread so fast, many people had no time to evacuate. It's just tragic. Jared signed off his email saying he and many other missionaries were off to donate blood. I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities for service for them in the weeks to come. My heart and prayers go out to all affected by this tragedy.
