Sister's Conference

We had a Sister's Conference this weekend and it was based on the scripture in D&C 88:119 "Organize yourselves, prepare every needful thing. Establish a house,..." We had speakers talk on the different topics such as "House of Fasting", "House of Prayer" etc. It was such an uplifting meeting. I laughed, I cried, I was inspired. It's so great to be part of something like that and when you are involved in the organization of it all, its wonderful when it all comes together.

The lady at theideadoor.com has put some lovely aged temple images on her site. I was delighted to see the New Zealand Temple was one that she had done.
So I used her image and made up some scrapbook paper covered frames, and gave them as thank you gifts to the guest speakers at the conference.

I think they turned out really cute. The ladies loved them!

All in all, it's been a great day!

Where Did the Time Go?

...changing diapers, chasing an active toddler, bandaging bumps and bruises, school field trips, testing spelling words, fixing broken windows, helping with homework, laughing, crying, making costumes, late nights on those last minute school projects, chauffer, sitting watching track meets, sitting watching band performances, sitting watching swim meets, laughing, teasing, practical jokes, ironing white shirts, hospital visits for stitches, hospital visits for broken bones, hosting Halo tournaments, laughing, pictures of school dances, homework that is way beyond me, vacations, Prom, Graduation, Mission...


I wouldn't change a minute of it. Now I get to watch in awe at the Man my Boy has become!

Here's a useless bit of trivia for you... at 12:34mins and 56 seconds today on 7th August (8th month) 2009, it will be 123456789! Of course this only works if you do the date as: day, month, year, which they do in NZ. This happened last month in the U.S on July 8th for those that do the date: month, day, year.
I told you it was useless trivia!

Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

I'm doing an interior design course. At this stage I don't know if it is something I will pursue professionally, but it will definitely be fun to learn more about it. One of my first assignments is to show some examples of good and bad interior design and explain why I think it is good or bad design. Well I have seen lots of examples of beautiful interior design, but I thought I would share some of the bad ones I found.
